A. Bank Based Functions
1) Central Bank
According to Law 3 of 2004, the Central Bank is a state institution that has the right to issue legal tender of a country as well as running the function as the leader of last resort.
Indonesia's central bank is the Bank of Indonesia.
Bank Indonesia is an independent state agency in carrying out its duties and authorities
2) Commercial Banks
Definition of commercial banks according to Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 9/7 / PBI / 2007 is a bank conducting business in a conventional and or based on sharia principles in their activities providing services in payment traffic. Services provided by the commercial banks are general, meaning that it can provide all of the existing banking services. Commercial banks are often called commercial banks (commercial banks).
3) rural banks (BPR)
BPR is a bank conducting business in a conventional or based on sharia principles in their activities do not provide services in payment traffic. BPR activities are much narrower when compared to the activities of commercial banks.
There are activities that should not be done by BPR, namely:

The types of activities that may be carried out by BPR include the following.

3) Foreign-Owned Banks
